Illustrator Christoph Niemann, in the Netflix documentary series *Abstract: The Art of Design*, discusses the importance of giving space for your creations to exist. He sits at his desk every day regardless of how much time he spends illustrating, and by doing so, he enables his illustrations. Build the foundation of your dreams through the art of practice. Give yourself the space to create so that you can make mistakes. Prioritize your time and energy into allowing.

imperfect action
I keep telling myself that I will share when I am ready, but the truth is, I will never feel ready. Instead, I am choosing to show up, to be vulnerable, and to create the space for you to do the same. We have so much more to gain than we have to lose.
finding joy
You start to wonder who you could become if you spent every day taking care of yourself and leaning into the joy. You start to wonder if maybe you never have to go back to the way it was before. You start to wonder what you could accomplish. You start to wonder while embracing the joy you have received and wielding the power you have granted yourself as you explore your options, dreams, and endless possibilities. You start to wonder if sacrificing your joy is worth it.
ask for more
Practice advocating for yourself by asking for the little things so that it is that much easier when it comes to the big things. Practice feeling comfortable asking for your needs, then start asking for your wants.
memories
It makes me wonder though; what will I forget about my present, my now, years into the future. What is going to stick with me? What will be forgotten? Maybe that’s a lot of the reason why I write. The reason I’m always taking pictures. The reason I try to be grateful for something every day.
lead by example
We are constantly growing, always becoming, and we will forever have people we are looking up to in one area or another. We can be evolving and be the person who opens up other people's awareness of what it means to live our dreams.
today we write
I pick a topic or a thought and let the words flow. I am at the trailhead naming my starting point with the only goal of somehow getting back here at the end.
have more fun
Take a second and try to remember all the things you used to love. Think about how you could incorporate some of those things back into your life.
gratitude
I began to notice the way the sunshine sifted through the leaves, to strangers who smiled on the sidewalk, to the way my pillow felt after a long day, and to the friendships that supported me. What if, in noticing the things you love about you and in your life, you started to experience a happiness you never thought possible?
love yourself
Let's remember to love ourselves even when it feels impossible to keep going because that's when we need it the most.
honor your limits
Helping others brings us happiness. It shouldn't take it away. Sometimes you have to say no; it might make you feel like an asshole, but you're not. Sometimes it's your job to prioritize you.
find stillness
When was the last time you just sat and observed the world around you? Staring off into the distance contemplating your life, your journey, your relationships and your dreams?
limitless happiness
If I had set limits on my potential I wouldn’t know the happiness I get to know now. If I had tried to define my expectations, I would have accepted a different kind of content because I didn’t know this kind existed.
